Even if the name translates as the thief of days, it does not steal your days. It is actually quite frugal and even forgoes screws when mounting the side panels. Instead, powdered steel brackets in a fitting colour are inserted over the four corners. Good night!

Clarity of form and individually adaptable

Staples can hold paper, bank notes, hair and even larger thoughts together. Our thought, then why not beds as well? And it works. The Tagedieb also conceals a system, which can be adapted to the respective mattress height. The bed is flexible right down to the high headboard: With or without, straight or tilted backwards, Tagedieb is equally good at everything.

Self-explanatory

Four brackets that hold together the side elements of a bed. We love it when things are self-explanatory. At the same time the bed can be dismantled into small parts, be dispatched as a flat pack and furthermore cuts a fine figure. In this respect Carmen Buttjer‘s design captivated us from the outset. The only question is: Why did we not think of it ourselves?

The Tagedieb family

In addition to the uncomplicated assembly of the bed, Tagedieb is highly flexible with two different immersion depths and two angles of inclination for the high headboard. The bed is also available as a practical and space-saving stacking bed. As a stacking bed the characteristic brackets are not only to affix the side panels. An additionally defined bending angle in the brackets holds both beds in their bunk position and at the same time in an exact position above each other.

Material Properties and Care

FU Black (birch plywood)

Material properties:

Several birch veneers are cross-glued, creating a material with a high level of dimensional stability. Generally our birch plywood panels are surface-coated or oiled. They are produced in Finland. The slowly-growing trees in the Finnish climate create fine-grain wood of consistently high quality. The following properties can occur: knot inclusions on the edge and possibly different edge colors (image 1), inclusions, glossy stripes or matt areas on the surface (image 2).

Cleaning and care:

Light surface soiling on the untreated edges can be removed using fine-grain sandpaper. Coated surfaces can be cleaned using a soft cloth with lukewarm water and a small amount of colourless washing-up liquid. Please only wipe oiled surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and as necessary treat with colourless oil.

Technical Details / Notes

General Information

The color of the brackets cannot be selected individually. We combine Light Grey with FU White and Anthracite with FU Black.

A centre bar is necessary from a mattress width of 140 cm. It is included in delivery.

Mattress and slatted frame are not included in delivery.

Tagedieb headboard and other add-ons can be added subsequently. Tagedieb headboard can be attached straight up, or slightly inclined (10°).

Tagedieb and Tagedieb Stacking Bed cannot be combined.
