Seiltänzer is a table that makes things easy for itself and its housemates – in terms of appearance, assembling and in its adaptability to different formats. It‘s filigree look can be attributed to its slender steel legs, which are connected to the tabletop by a braced rope.
All the facts on the table
Appears to be weightless, but it isn’t. Just like a Seiltänzer which translated means tightrope walker. Four slender steel legs ensure that the table is stably balanced. Which is, of course, not the real work of art. In fact it is the tense rope that makes the Seiltänzer march to a different drum by connecting the legs securely to the table top. Speaking of connecting – it can be linked in all directions with other tables. Besides that, the Seiltänzer is not only available in the standard format but in any individual size at no extra fee (cm steps).

Resize and extend at will
Thanks to the characteristic rope, which runs in a precisely defined recess around the leg, you can recognize Seiltänzer from far away. But it is also worth looking under the tabletop. To exert the greatest possible tensile force on the table leg, the rope is guided at a 45° angle from the corner to the table middle. The construction can be resized to any preferred dimensions. However, our carpenter’s veneer press reaches its limits from a table length of 3m. Several Seiltänzer tables can be connected as a block or series.
Good to know
There is a special procedure, which is generally used in tool manufacture, to give the delicate legs their matt black appearance. In the nitriding process nitrogen, carbon and oxygen diffuse at approx. 570°C into the surface and improve its resilience. The subsequent wax polish creates a velvety feel. The characteristic appearance of steel and possible light processing traces remain visible.

Technical Details / Notes
General Information
Tool for assembling is provided and magnetically fixed under the tabletop.
A special supporting structure is necessary to make table lengths of over 250 cm possible. This constructive reinforcement is the reason for the jump in price for larger formats.
Several Seiltänzer tables can be connected as a block or series.

The individual units are shipped in flat pack form.
