Practical and space-saving

Last Minute is a table that can be hung on the wall. Thanks to the ash wood wall hook supplied it also cuts a good figure. When needed it is rapidly on hand and unfolds using two handles to a stable table.
A fine and nevertheless resilient textile band is essential for this flexible principle of opening and folding. If several Last Minutes are assembled in series, the tabletops are always level with each other. Round grip holes and finely bevelled edges structure the surface and give a filigree, graphic picture.

Always on the lookout

Simply produce furniture? Not really our thing. We are in search of furniture creations based on a special idea. Sometimes absurd, sometimes ingenious, sometimes a detail, sometimes a revolution. It was the opening and closing of Last Minute at lightning speed that fascinated us. We had to dig deep into our bag of tricks to make it possible – both for the selection of material and the production method.

About linen straps and fire hoses

Time to change. Last Minute changes rapidly between its folded and open state. Instead of hinges the individual components are glued with linen straps. Inflated fire hoses emit steady pressure on the glued areas and help to fill out the radii.

Material Properties and Care

FU Black (birch plywood)

Material properties:

Several birch veneers are cross-glued, creating a material with a high level of dimensional stability. Generally our birch plywood panels are surface-coated or oiled. They are produced in Finland. The slowly-growing trees in the Finnish climate create fine-grain wood of consistently high quality. The following properties can occur: knot inclusions on the edge and possibly different edge colors (image 1), inclusions, glossy stripes or matt areas on the surface (image 2).

Cleaning and care:

Light surface soiling on the untreated edges can be removed using fine-grain sandpaper. Coated surfaces can be cleaned using a soft cloth with lukewarm water and a small amount of colourless washing-up liquid. Please only wipe oiled surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and as necessary treat with colourless oil.
