Lader
Axel Kufus
Modularly planned
Lader definitely doesn’t let anyone put a label on him. When all is said and done he’s made up of many parts. At four different heights arranged on top of each other at will. Carried by a simple corpus element. The drawers have two different fronts: on one side there is a single grip hole, on the other two additional holes, in which you can insert number, letter and symbol labels. Lader can stand on castors or feet, as required.

Corpus: FU (birch plywood)

Pigeonhole thinking à la Moormann
Lader definitely doesn’t let anyone put a label on him. When all is said and done he’s made up of many parts. And does not only grow in height with its four drawers of different sizes, but adapts in width to individual preferred and special situations. Sometimes office container, sometimes sideboard, sometimes bench – but always with system. Carried by a simple corpus element. The drawers have two different fronts: on one side there is a single grip hole, on the other two additional holes, in which you can insert number, letter and symbol labels. Lader can stand on castors or feet, as required.
The very beginning
Lader is not completely uninvolved in the fact that plywood is socially acceptable today. After all it was one of the first pieces of furniture from the semi-finished product at its market launch in 1996. Downright provocative to rely on a material that had to date primarily been used as a concrete formwork. To convince the doubters we had to look for a long time until we found the panels, which won us over with their flawless finish as well as their dimensional stability.

Material properties:
Several birch veneers are cross-glued, creating a material with a high level of dimensional stability. Generally our birch plywood panels are surface-coated or oiled. They are produced in Finland. The slowly-growing trees in the Finnish climate create fine-grain wood of consistently high quality. The following properties can occur: knot inclusions on the edge and possibly different edge colors (image 1), inclusions, glossy stripes or matt areas on the surface (image 2).
Cleaning and care:
Light surface soiling on the untreated edges can be removed using fine-grain sandpaper. Coated surfaces can be cleaned using a soft cloth with lukewarm water and a small amount of colourless washing-up liquid. Please only wipe oiled surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and as necessary treat with colourless oil.
