Musikstapler
Design: Tom Fischer, 2006
Grows with your requirements
Musikstapler can store a maximum amount of CDs with a minimum use of materials. When it is fully loaded the revolving piece is almost invisible and lets its content take centre stage. Each level accommodates approximately 60 CDs in a space-saving and clearly arranged system. Depending on individual use, Musikstapler can grow from the height of a side table with two levels to a music tower with ten levels.
Glass marbles for smooth rotation
The customary ball bearings have been replaced in the Musikstapler by hand-sorted glass marbles. As glass marbles are responsible for smooth rotation and should remain in series according to their size, a special marble sorting machine was devised. It rattles around in our logistics centre so Musikstapler can continue its calm, consistent rotation.

Material properties:
Several birch veneers are cross-glued, creating a material with a high level of dimensional stability. Generally our birch plywood panels are surface-coated or oiled. They are produced in Finland. The slowly-growing trees in the Finnish climate create fine-grain wood of consistently high quality. The following properties can occur: knot inclusions on the edge and possibly different edge colors (image 1), inclusions, glossy stripes or matt areas on the surface (image 2).
Cleaning and care:
Light surface soiling on the untreated edges can be removed using fine-grain sandpaper. Coated surfaces can be cleaned using a soft cloth with lukewarm water and a small amount of colourless washing-up liquid. Please only wipe oiled surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and as necessary treat with colourless oil.
