‚Walden. Or Life in the woods’ is the name of the 19 century classic by the American author Henry David Thoreau. The idea of a simple life in harmony with nature was also the driving force behind our Walden. The result is a garden house on an extremely narrow plot, which combines a high standard of living quality with countless detailed solutions, a stringent principle of order and generous storage space.
The heart of the garden house is the central position in the lower area. Accessible from two sides and furnished with seating, a table, shelves, a curtain and an awning, it guarantees not only a panoramic view but also a complete sense of well-being. There is an even better view from the observation deck on the roof, which is accessible via a ladder. To ensure that you are kept busy both day and night, a practical sunroof lets you count the clouds or shooting stars from an elevated seat or the cosy sleeping bunk.
All the essential garden tools such as shovel, rake, watering can or wheelbarrow are stored around the garden house. The romantic camp fire is lit in a swing-out fire bowl – firewood and barbeque utensils are always on hand. There is even room for a lodger in this garden abode thanks to the birdhouse in its own niche. You really won’t want to go back to your house!
