On the ground floor, an old shop serves as both a gallery and presentation space. In addition to furniture from the Moormann collection, art and design objects from partner brands and artists will be on display in changing exhibition formats.

Things get exciting in the ‘secret’ cellar. A 170 square metre winding area, which originally served as a coal cellar and later housed the cellar compartments of the residential building, was quickly converted into a furniture exhibition. In typical Moormann style, there was no major refurbishment or renovation. As at the headquarters in Aschau, the aim was to preserve and adapt the original character of the rooms. Crumbling original brickwork is just as much a part of the concept as old wooden floorboards that were left behind as building rubble – these now have a new life as platforms for the furniture.

The aim of the new space is to create a meeting place and source of
inspiration for all design lovers, Moormann fans and people interested in furniture who want to experience the Moormann philosophy and get advice on furniture from the collection.
